I'm going to Mexico

No I'm not going to Cancun or Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan or Tijuan (what a hell hole)....I'm going to Tepatitlan. You're probably wondering where the hell that is:

You're next question is what the heck is out here. Well this region is pretty famous for the production and exportation of Tequila. Heck the town of Tequila is here. But I'm not flying down there to pick up myself a bottle of Jose Cuervo, but I'm going to be here to visit my family.

The town is called Tepatitlan in the state of Jalisco. It's next to Guadalajara and considered to be in the highlands. My parents are from this region but the rest of their family still remains. It turns out Tepa is famous for a festival that goes the last two weeks of every April. It's such a big hit that people from other states and countries come out for this festival. I'm glad to share this with my bud Travis who will be joining me on this trip.

This festival has many attractions. From nightly fireworks displays to bull fights (if you're an animal lover DO NOT GO). There are tons of parties, clubs, and social atmospheres. Best of all I've got my cousins as the main entertainment.

Hopefully I'll be able to get some good pics.

Sounds fun. Bring back some pics. I'd like to see what a non-touristy party looks like in MX
