My nightmare

I had this nightmare that I woke up and my harddrive crashed on my computer system. The same harddrive where I have been storing all of my digital photo albums. I was thinking there must be a way to easily and efficiently back up that specific drive automatically to an external device. Also if I have a lot of stuff to just only backup the differences between the two locations.
So I went to my favorite toy store in the world at Fry's in Palo Alto and found exactly what I wanted. An external harddrive by western digital. All I had to do is just intall the software and connect it to my computer. I tell the software that I would like automatic updates of the specific drive. It also gives me the option to just push a button at any time and it would check to see if anything needs to be backed up to the external drive.

Now I can finally sleep until my next nightmare.

Flying

Last weekend I was actually flying around Sacramento for a bit. I went to go visit Tyler at his new crib in Sacramento when his father arrived that morning. Odd thing we had to pick him up from an airfield in Sacramento. It turns out he flew in from San Carlos to Sacramento in his own plane. What was really cool was that he offered us all a ride on his plane. So me Tyler and Ana hoped into the plane along with Tylers dad and flew all around the Sacramento valley. I got to see sights you'd never see in a commercial air liner.

A little bit about Tylers dad. It turns out his father flies every weekend since 1968 and seems to have a passion for it. The Cessna you see in the picture is actually his 7th plane.

Stupid Wheel Bearing

Lately I've been noticing this weird humming noise comming out of my wheels of my Subaru. At first I thought the wheels needed to be rotated. I rotated them but the noise still there but in the same area. Talking to a Subie mechanic and some googling I found out that there's a common problem in the earlier models of the wheel bearing wearing out with in 35 - 50 k of use. I'm at 45k.....and the mechanic said with the current warranty I have it may be covered to! If not then I guess I may have to replace it myself. Doesn't sound to hard. Heck I replaced the clutch of a 1984 Honda Civic.....but was left in pieces for a week :-).

This whole time I thought I was tripping. Even my passengers thought I was on crack. Just ask Pat.
