Dim Sum: The attack of the "Poo Berries"

Earlier today I went for Dim Sum at the Golden Wok with Pat, Andrew, Ray, Debbie and Ray's And Andy's friend Zhen. Every single time we walked through the entrance of the Golden Wok I'd notice the stench of dog feces for some reason but I'd look around and no dog poo around. Debbie and I finally figured out that there's these berries thingies that fall of the nearby trees and get crushed by pass buyers. These same berries.. after being crushed and exposing the juices give off the awful stench of dog poo!.

I think if I were the owners of this place I'd get rid of the damn trees. I'm sure people would most likely have a better appetite if they didn't walk in with the stench of dog poo around them. Then customers would be most likely to order more.

Now if I can just figure out what kind of berries those were it would make good material for a practical joke.

Nerdy IM conversation

Some one from work IM'd with a term usually used in the computer world. The short conversation sorta went like this:

Co worker says:
ping
Rico says:
7 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
Co worker says:
haha good one

Rico cut's off connection :-).

VW's

Besides my Subaru I think the Volkswagen Jetta is my other favorite car. Did you know that
Volkswagen is known as the largest smallest car maker in the world.....? How does that work? Eventhough I was in a Jetta for a short amount of time, the passenger seat was pretty comfy with a pretty cool round looking adjustment.
Volkswagen manufactures parts for the Porchse. Have you compared the Porsche SUV against the VW tourage (something like that)? They look pretty similar. The first Porsche's were made out of VW parts any way......I've always wondered if I could put a Porsche engine in an old VW Beetle and pull up to a racing line against some dude in a corvette or a mustang :-).

Fleet Week

On Saturday I ended up checking out fleet week in San Francisco. Instead of driving, a buddy if mine and I decided to take the train to avoid all the traffic.

Turns out we had to walk a ways to the area where the air show was happening which was located a little after fishermans Warf. What we thought was going to take 15 minutes to like an hour. I think it was mostly because we had to take a rest.

We found a bar with 80 beers on tap called Jack's Cannery Bar. Then all of a sudden we heard this harsh crashing noise. It turned out to be an F-16 fighter flying right above the bar. The noise coming from the two engines resonated through the brick building.

Later the Blue Angels came out. It was pretty cool. They'd flip around do cork screws and even stall in mid air. I took some video shots but I'd have to figure out a way to share them on the web.
